Edwin D. Grawburg, age 70, of Lakeview, MI formerly of Lake Odessa passed at his home after a short illness. Ed was born on July 15, 1947 to Frederick H. and Katherine (Wingeier) Grawburg in Hastings, MI. Ed was a 1966 graduate of Lakewood High School. Ed worked as truck driver for Care Free in Charlotte and as a fork lift operator at Twin City foods during bean season, along with volunteering at the Lake Odessa Fair for many years. In 1986 he married Sharon Needham and she survives. He was a big fan of racing especially dirt track racing.
He will be dearly missed by: wife Sharon, children: Diane Brochue, Brad (Elly) Phillips, Donna Fletcher, Tommy (Jeanne) Grawburg, Talena Grawburg, special friend Meggan (Rob) Miller and family, many grandchildren and great grandchildren, brother John (Cathy) Grawburg, along with many nieces and nephews.
Ed was preceded in death by; his parents, son Kenny Phillips, brother Ferdinand R. Grawburg.
The family would like to give a special thanks to Spectrum Health Cancer floor nurse Melanie and Spectrum Health Home Hospice.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 13, 2018 from 5pm until 8pm at Koops Funeral Chapel, Lake Odessa, MI. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at 11am at Koops Funeral Chapel with burial to follow at Woodland Memorial Park, Woodland Township, MI.
Memorials in Ed’s name can be given to the Lake Odessa Fair Board and Spectrum Health Hospice.
