April 3, 1927 ~ June 3, 2018 (age 91)

Gloria Joy Mahlich (Leazenby) (nee-Lang), 91, was greeted by her parents and the Lord on June 3, 2018. She was born a city girl in Grand Rapids, MI to Earl and Maude (Snoap) Lang on April 3, 1927. Gloria met her soon to be husband at a Roller rink’s fun night and sparks flew. And on May 20, 1948 she became Mrs. Wayne Leazenby and started living the country life. They were longtime residents of the Clarksville, MI area along with their 4 children. She enjoyed cooking and canning for the family from the garden Wayne tended. She was famous for her macaroni and cheese with strawberry shortcake and ice cream being her favorite desserts. Her many hobbies included reading, sewing, flower gardening, feeding birds, swimming and camping. What she loved the most was being a wife and mother. She had a zest for life, an outgoing personality and was quick to give her opinion whether it was asked for or not. After Wayne’s passing she later married Eldon Mahlich in 1984 in Bastrop, TX where they enjoyed their winters square-dancing. She will be dearly missed by her children, Leann (Bob) Maxwell, Jerry (JoAnn) Leazenby, Rose Adams and Doug (Cheryl) Leazenby; step daughter in law, Ivanka Mahlich; step-son, Kurt Mahlich; along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; husbands, Wayne and Eldon; brother Ken Lang; sister in law Judy; son in law, Steve Adams; step sons, Gene Mahlich and Bob Mahlich; step daughter in law, Jennifer Mahlich.
