Leebella “Lee” Geiger, 91, of Woodland went to be with her lord on Monday, November 18, 2019 at Green Acres in Ionia, MI. Leebella was born on 0ctober 9, 1928 to Louis and Zillah (Knettles) Dahms in Clarksville, MI. On July 4, 1948 she married Dale Dean Geiger at their family home and he preceded her in death on November 19, 1998. In 1959 they moved to the family farm in Woodland, where they raised their children and farmed. Leebella was a cook for Lakewood Schools for over 30 years and a cashier at the A&P in Lake Odessa. She was a member of the Lady’s Auxiliary at the VFW Post 4461, the Stoney Point Women’s Club and Woodland United Methodist Church. Leebella was an avid deer hunter well into her 70’s. She was a very loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend. The family will dearly miss her smile and sense of humor, which she carried to the end.
Leebella will be dearly missed by; children Gary (Debra), Dallas (Anna) and Tom (Terri), grandchildren; Trina Geiger, Samantha (Nick) Bite, Drew (Monica) Geiger and Brandon (Abbie) Geiger, great grandchildren; Sadee, Addysen, Leah and Grayson, sister Christine Bowman, special care giver of many years Elaine Geiger along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Preceding her in death are; her loving husband Dale, her parents, siblings; Curly Dahms, Bruce Dahms, Carol Lowrey and Mary Skjordal.
The family would like to thank the staff at Green Acres of Ionia for the excellent and loving care they gave Leebella.
Visitation will be held on November 21, 2019 from 5pm until 8pm at Koops Funeral Chapel in Lake Odessa. Funeral services will be held at 11am on November 22, 2019 at Koops Funeral Chapel with burial taking place at Woodland Memorial Park immediately following. Memorials are suggested to the Woodland Memorial Veteran’s Memorial Fund or VFW post 4461 scholarship fund.
